The Buncheong series was created in South Korea in 2021-22 at Korea National University of Cultural Heritage in Buyeo. While there, I was able to investigate Buncheong materials and processes to understand the various personalities of this art form, unique to Korea. The tactile qualities of Buncheong clay inspired a free-spirited attitude in making this body of work, which opened up multiple ways to express myself in each object.
